Teachers’ Notes

1. The trail is best done in teams.
2. Large groups can divide and begin the trail at different points along the route.
3. The trail is well away from the Lake. There is no need to go near the water.

Teacher pre-visits (free of charge) are recommended.

Health and Safety

Staff should:

Make sure you have plenty of drinking water and sun block with you - especially if the weather is hot.

A member of staff must have the school mobile telephone switched on at all times. In case of emergency, please call.

The emergency meeting point will be the Coach and Car Park by Flagstaff Information Kiosk.

Please respect the general public who are also visiting Blenheim - do not disturb their day.

Respect the Palace Staff and obey any instructions they may give you.

Remember - watch out for traffic when walking on all roads.

Do not stray from the described route.

Do not approach or attempt to touch or feed any animals or birds.

Do not touch any wire fences - they may be electric fences for the animals.

Do not walk too near the water’s edge.
